This treatment can be performed in surgical and non surgical methods. Surgical can be done at a doctor’s office or surgical center and you can go home the same day. If large amounts of fat will be removed, the procedure will be done in a hospital, and you have to stay overnight.
Depending on the type of liposuction you may need local anesthesia or general anesthesia. After the anesthesia procedure, surgeon will insert a suction device inside the targeted area and remove excess fat using a suction pump or a large syringe.
How Long Does Recovery Take?
When liposuction is an one day procedure, people usually recover very quickly. Most people can return home on the same day and start their normal activities within a few days.
